Edge of Tomorrow is just an all around fun and action-filled sci-fi thriller that unfortunately didn’t produce phenomenal numbers at the box office that a sequel, while being talked about off and on over the years, is looking unlikely.
Chaos Walking has a more interesting back story than the story itself. The concept is interesting but the plot muddles along and outside of a couple decent scenes and performances from Holland and Ridley, doesn’t have very much memorable going for it.

Edge of Tomorrow is one of the better movies to come out of a (mostly) disappointing summer 2014 although due to a generic title change and less than stellar advertising, didn’t quite catch on with audience (it did manage to cross the $100M mark domestically, however). It’s a fun film from start to finish and well worth at least a rental if not outright day one purchase.
