Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga isn’t a complete misfire as there are some good moments but as great of a character that Furiosa was in Mad Max: Fury Road, I would’ve preferred a sequel rather than this prequel and maybe coming out sooner.

There’s no doubt Robert Eggers is a talented filmmaker and while I can appreciate some of the technical achievements with bringing a Viking lore to life, and the entire cast giving solid performances, I wasn’t entirely captured by the story and in the end, despite some wonderful visuals, found this to be fairly forgettable.
I can respect the talent of Edgar Wright as he is a visually great filmmaker and while I wasn’t totally engrossed with his latest outing, I will say Last Night in Soho is well worth checking out.
Split is a well done, highly suspense-filled psychological thriller from M. Night Shyamalan who seems to have returned to form; though not without the incredible performance(s) from James McAvoy who I really hope is remembered come awards season.
