MacGyver: The Complete First Season is a fun if not flawed beginning to a fine series helped mostly by Richard Dean Anderson and the character’s creative ways to get out of trouble using everyday objects, with a handy pocketknife at his aid.

Incredibles 2 might not be top-of-the-line Pixar but it undoubtedly a fun and often funny family movie that is a great way to spend two hours and certainly brings back the good memories of the first film from over a decade ago.

The Meg is a fun enough if not also forgettable science fiction action-adventure flick, a bigger budget version of a plot you’d see from Asylum that somehow managed to get an A-grade actor to star.
Single White Female is a well made suspense-thriller made so due to some wonderful performances from both Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh who in particular was frightening.
Slender Man was a poorly conceived project where there’s not even a good idea at its core, but even besides that, its several years too late and given the darker connections to the character should have given the studio some pause to even make it.
Black Widow actually is a unique film noir in an era that was filled with them and at its core, a well done murder mystery. The film also features some wonderful performances, most notably, Van Heflin, Ginger Rogers and Peggy Ann Gardner.
Community is an entertaining show that for whatever reason I didn’t watched when it was on TV. But now with a Blu-ray release, it was a great experience catching up and although there are a few episodes that were merely okay, the bulk were utterly hilarious thanks to the sharp writing and its ensemble cast.

The Hospital is a dark comedy that works mostly for George C. Scott though the story itself isn’t only mildly amusing. The Blu-ray has okay video/audio transfers but lacks many features.
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is a well done if not kind of pointless adaptation of a series that’s still on the air. Even so, the in-jokes is what carried it for me more so than the humor, voice acting or the animation itself, which I’ve never been a big fan of.

I Am Vengeance doesn’t break any new ground in the revenge subgenre but even for all of its weaknesses with bad dialogue and subpar acting, I did find it mildly entertaining, if not also forgettable.
Patient Zero actually isn’t a half-bad “zombie” flick though notably the other half of the film was pretty lousy, squandering many of the interesting aspects of the first part.
Short Night of Glass Dolls is an uneven yet still interesting Italian film that has had the term giallo attached to it but doesn’t share that much in common. There are some dull moments in an otherwise passable film.

Batman: The Animated Series is easily one of the best animated shows ever, able to transcend generations appealing to both kids and adults alike, and from a technical standpoint a (darkly) wonderful achievement with the design to go along with the pitch perfect voice castings.
