Geronimo: An American Legend is a excellently made historical drama from renowned filmmaker Walter Hill and with a great group of cast headlined by Gene Hackman, Wes Studi (as the title character), Jason Patric and Matt Damon in one of his early roles, this is a great film.

PLOT SYNOPSIS |

Following the expansion of the United States into the Southwest, the Apache Indians are forced onto a reservation to live out their lives as lowly corn farmers. While many resign themselves to this fate, several Apache, including Geronimo (WES STUDI), refuse to go quietly. Hoping to quell a major rebellion, General Charles Crook (GENE HACKMAN) dispatches over 5,000 U.S. Cavalry soldiers, led by Lieutenant Charles Gatewood (JASON PATRIC), to hunt down Geronimo and his men. |

| Twilight Time releases Geronimo onto Blu-ray where it is presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a good and sharp looking 1080p high-definition transfer. Considering the time period and story, there isn’t an abundant amount of color as the film leans more toward natural tones.
The disc includes both a 5.1 and 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio track and either one is satisfactory, though the former, in spite of having an additional 3 channels, does exactly output incredible depth. |

The Blu-ray release has good video and audio transfers but sadly is lackluster with the features. |
