All Eyez on Me might be the long-awaited and most anticipated bio-pic on Tupac Shakur but speaking as someone who didn’t really follow his career growing up but this drama is underwhelming to say the least with some poor writing and so-so performances, though Demetrius Shipp Jr. is the spitting image of Shakur and does well in the role.

All Eyez on Me takes stage to Blu-ray presented with a 2.40 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer (MPEG-4 AVC codec). Save for some banding early on, this is a fairly good looking picture with natural looking skin tones and sharp detail throughout. |
AUDIO – 5.0/5 |
The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track might provide for clear dialogue levels primarily through the center channel but where this really comes to life is during musical performances which blare through every available channel while the LFE kicks in for an extra boost. |
OVERALL – 3.0/5 |
Overall, All Eyez on Me might be the long-awaited and most anticipated bio-pic on Tupac Shakur but speaking as someone who didn’t really follow his career growing up but this drama is underwhelming to say the least with some poor writing and so-so performances, though Demetrius Shipp Jr. is the spitting image of Shakur and does well in the role. Only redeeming factor is at least they had the rights to the music. As for this Blu-ray, the picture and audio are well done while the features are average. |
