Hussy is a finely acted drama headlined by the amazing Helen Mirren to go along with John Shea, whom I will always know as Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark, makes a solid feature film debut.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

Helen Mirren plays a veteran hooker based out of a tawdry London cabaret and John Shea (in his feature film debut) as the backstage technician who falls for her. Their breakaway future together is clouded by the surprise return of her criminal ex-lover (PAUL ANGELIS) and his former partner in smuggling (MURRAY SALEM), each bringing danger and potential disaster.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0.5/5

This comes with an 8-page booklet and the only feature is the Theatrical Trailer.

VIDEO – 4.5/5, AUDIO – 4.0/5

The 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and 1080p high-definition transfer of Hussy does look fantastic. The natural film grain and noise has been retained and while there were probably some minor specs, for the most part this is an incredibly clean transfer. The included DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track also sounds good, showing off crisp and clean dialogue and some modest depth for a few of the suspense-filled sequences.

OVERALL – 3.75/5

Hussy is a finely acted drama headlined by the amazing Helen Mirren to go along with John Shea, whom I will always know as Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark, makes a solid feature film debut. The Blu-ray from Twilight Time might not have much I the way of features but the video and audio transfers are both well done.
