Review: House: Two Stories BD + Screen Caps

Of these two movies, I found House to be the more entertaining but House II does have its moments but it veers far more into the slapstick comedic territory than its predecessor. As far as this release goes, it is unfortunate that the third and fourth movies weren’t included (they are in the Arrow UK release).

Carrie: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Review

This “Collector’s Edition” of Carrie from Shout Factory is pretty darn good for a pretty darn good movie by suspense-maestro, Brian De Palma and features amazing performances by Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

The Unwanted Blu-ray Review

The Unwanted has some things going for it especially with its two relatively young actresses in Hannah Fierman and Christen Orr and although some work could’ve been done with the writing and in the editing room, there’s enough there that makes it worth at least a rental.

Review: The Encore of Tony Duran DVD

The Encore of Tony Duran, which has been around for a few years floating around the Interwebs, finally sees a DVD release and although not polished, still has some charm with its star, Gene Pietragallo. The DVD itself is a bit weak with so-so video/audio transfers but the video commentary makes for an interesting enough listen.

Review: Sparks DVD

Sparks is certainly an unconventional comic book movie and considering the shoe-string budget and lightning speed schedule, it’s not a half-bad little flick with two solid performances from Chase Williamson and Ashley Bell. The DVD release offers adequate video and audio transfers while the bonus material is mostly forgettable.
