The Fan is a film that showcases the talents of both Lauren Bacall and a young Michael Biehn turning in a sometimes creepy performance as a celebrity stalker.
Candy is a tough and brutal look at the costs of addiction and its effects on relationships, and features two great performances by Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish.
My Name is Myeisha is certainly an interesting film apparently adapted from a stage play which is pretty evident, even so, the performance from newcomer Rhaechyl Walker was a nice surprise.
Snow Falling on Cedars is a poignant, somber little drama-mystery, with great cinematography, that for one reason or another has kind of been forgotten.

Ambition is normally the type of movie right in my wheelhouse and the film does start off well enough before coming right off the rails at the end. However, I will say lead actress Katherine Hughes acquitted herself well enough.
The Abbott & Costello: The Complete Universal Pictures Collection is an amazing set from Shout Factory that, along with 28 fun films, had great audio and video transfers across the board to go along with a nice selection of bonus material.

Silver Bullet is by no means a good movie or even all that entertaining, though the acting from Busey and Haim were good and the effects work was fairly impressive considering the time period.

Big Trouble in Little China isn’t one of my favorite films of the 80s nor is it one of my favorites from John Carpenter, but despite some lackluster character development and a plot that feels a bit disjointed, ignoring all of that makes for a fun flick.

Road Games is not for everyone with many loving it, but I’m not one of those, however I did enjoy Stacy Keach’s performance at least and the Australian setting was interesting, just the story never came together.

This is another great release from Shout Factory and although some of the films are far from perfect and even taking into consideration that I’m generally not always the biggest fan of the supernatural-horror genre, this is still worth picking up for any completists out there.

Fear No Evil is not a great movie and certainly rather cheesy especially when it came to the make-up effects but there is a certain amount of fun to be had even if, personally, these supernatural-horror films aren’t my thing.
Vampires isn’t a great horror movie and certainly not top shelf in John Carpenter’s vast resume, but it does have its moments, including a fun performance from James Woods, and an interesting, even unique, origin of the vampires.

Vice Squad is a very unique and somewhat underappreciated crime-thriller with some truly uncomfortable scenes but solid acting from Season Hubley and, especially, Wings Hauser who delivers a chillingly masochistic performance.
