The Slumber Party Massacre is yet another fine release from the folks at Shout Factory who have been at the helm with providing home viewers with some of the more obscure titles.
Darkman is a cheesy but really fun throwback to the B-movie horror days of Hollywood. Liam Neeson is wonderful and turns in a great performance considering the amount of make-up he had to work under while Sam Raimi, far from perfect direction, shows what would come with his Spider-Man franchise.
Assault on Precinct 13 is an intense suspense-thriller by John Carpenter well worth checking out if you have not already (especially so before viewing the 2005 remake which itself wasn’t bad).
Night of the Comet is a clever and fun twist on the zombie sub-genre and one hell of a ride featuring two great performances from Kelli Maroney and, especially, Catherine Mary Stewart.
