Black Widow Blu-ray Review

Black Widow is a movie that was released a few years too late for sure, however the execution of what we did get was lackluster with a few plot points that didn’t make very much sense, however I did like Scarlett Johansson even if she feels like a side character at times.

The Favourite Blu-ray Review

The Favourite is probably one of the more disappointing movies of 2018 for me with a plot that became too tedious and despite being less than two hours, felt too long. That being said, the performances from the cast were all incredibly strong.

Disobedience Blu-ray Review

Disobedience never exactly reaches the dramatic heights filmmaker Sebastián Lelio likely wanted, as I didn’t find it all that emotionally absorbing, but the performances from Weisz, McAdams and Nivola are all something to behold.

My Cousin Rachel BD + Screen Caps

My Cousin Rachel was one of the bigger disappointments for me as I do like the cast, mainly Rachel Weisz, but the story never really came together as it could’ve and the pacing was dreadfully slow.

Review: The Light Between Oceans BD + Screen Caps

The Light Between Oceans isn’t half bad as heart-tugging rom-dramas go and it is better written and acted compared to your typical Nicolas Sparks schlock, but at the same time, despite a talented cast and some great scenes, I didn’t find this nearly as emotional and I can’t see much replay value.

Oz the Great and Powerful Blu-ray Review

Oz the Great and Powerful is a fine piece of film making with Raimi and company doing a fine job at least tying it with The Wizard of Oz, although a side effect being, similar to the Star Wars prequels, you kind of delude the mystery of the Wizard by revealing it in a prequel. The Bourne Legacy Blu-ray Review

The Bourne Legacy is a fine entry in the series and while it’s not as good as the previous three or as well polished, it’s still a fun movie with solid action scenes that keeps good pace after the first 10-15 minutes. Even though Legacy is as well refined as the other movies in the series, the potential is there for another sequel and a finale that involves the title character again.

Review: The Brothers Bloom BD

The Brothers Bloom is writer-director Rian Johnson’s follow-up his surprisingly fantastic 2005 film, Brick starring Joseph Gordon Levitt. But often sophomore efforts after promising starts tend to greatly disappoint but Johnson’s latest once again surprised me as it wasn’t your typical con genre flick.
