Joan of Arcadia was a short-lived but well acted drama-fantasy highlighted by Amber Tamblyn in what could’ve been a star-making role, alongside Joe Mantegna and Mary Steenburgen. At times it might not have been greatly compelling but it there were entertaining episodes spanning the two seasons.

Time After Time is an obscure movie from the late 1970s but as cheesy as it is in some instances, it’s still a fun flick featuring good performances from Malcolm McDowell and David Warner with honorable mention to Mary Steenburgen before she would fall in love with another time traveler a decade later.

A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy isn’t a very well known Woody Allen film and although it pales in comparison with Manhattan and Annie Hall, lacking the same charm, even quirky by comparison, I wasn’t quite enamored with this movie as some though the performances by the supporting cast were quite good to go along with Allen’s typically eccentric nature.

Song One is a simple romantic-drama that, albeit not wholly satisfying like Once or Begin Again, still features solid performances by Anne Hathaway, Johnny Flynn and Mary Steenburgen. The Blu-ray released by Cinedigm offers good video and audio transfer while the bonus material is disappointing with no commentary or even making-of featurette.

Last Vegas is a movie that despite a weak script and some predictability succeeds thanks to its core cast. It delivers what the posters and trailers promote and that’s seeing four legendary actors on screen together having a grand old time together and there’s not much more one should expect from a movie like this.
