Flashback is a movie that might be too trippy for its own good. There are some interesting ideas and the acting from Dylan O’Brien and Maika Monroe were both pretty good, but it can be difficult to follow.

Greta Blu-ray Review

Greta was actually a disappointing movie. What could’ve been a fun little B-flick instead had a half-baked script and some rather forgettable performances from both Huppert and Moretz, the former never quite disturbing or menacing.

Review: Independence Day: Resurgence UHD + Screen Caps

Independence Day: Resurgence is merely the latest example of why some sequels are not necessary. Although I don’t think this was awful, and frankly outside of the President’s speech, the first one is hardly great in terms of storytelling, there really is no reason for this to existl.

Review: The 5th Wave BD + Screen Caps

The 5th Wave is a movie that maybe five years ago I would’ve been OK with but with so many YA adaptations, it would seem Hollywood will make just about anything and while I don’t think this is the weakest of the bunch, hard to be worse than the Twilight Saga, it’s really not a very good movie.

The Guest Blu-ray Review

In spite of my criticisms of The Guest, there are some things to admire from the performances by its two leads (Dan Stevens, Maika Monroe) and some very dark humor with one scene standing out (at the restaurant for those who have seen it), but for all I liked, this was just a shift in tone which really took this from being ridiculously awesome to ridiculously stupid.
