Review: Gridlocked BD + Screen Caps

Gridlocked is probably one of the more surprising movies based on expectations since my history with direct-to-video flicks hasn’t been the greatest. Sure, the acting isn’t anything special but Dominic Purcell and Stephen Lang serve well as the protagonist and antagonist respectively.

Review: Elimination Game BD + Screen Caps

Elimination Game is a bad movie and I mean SyFy made-for-television bad. Dominic Purcell isn’t a great actor but he probably deserves better material than this. The production design is lousy and the plot, albeit a remake of a 1982 film entitled Turkey Shoot (the original title of this one), is a rehash of many others, often better films.

In the Name of the King 3 Blu-ray Review

as if you needed further proof of Uwe Boll’s talent (or lack thereof), In the Name of the King 3 is yet another entry into his lackluster resume. But unlike some of his “finer” films, this is merely a generically bad movie with no redeeming value and not even bad enough to mock. Purcell looks utterly bored and turns in an uninspiring performance.

Ice Soldiers Blu-ray Review

Ice Soldiers is a cheap and quick release from Sony, a movie that somehow got financing. The story is terrible, the acting bad except maybe for Ironside who is woefully underutilized, and it’s just an all around boring-ass movie whereupon I found more entertaining looking up at my ceiling than paying any attention to the plot.

Review: Vikingdom DVD

Vikingdom isn’t a good movie, plain and simple. It’s cheaply done, the acting isn’t anything noteworthy and the story is half-baked. But worse of all, it’s just not that interesting of a movie on the whole and I couldn’t care less about anything or anybody. The DVD released by Epic has an OK amount of features while the audio/video is quite average.
