The Silence of the Lambs is easily one of my favorite movies of all-time (top 10) and is probably The Godfather of the suspense-thriller genre with incredible performances from Foster, Hopkins and Levine and an all-around great experience that has held up incredibly well over the years.

The Flight of Dragons is an animated film that I actually had never heard nor ever recall seeing even as a kid back in the 1980s (though it is entirely possible I had back in elementary, just don’t remember). As it is today, it’s a delightful and fun fantasy adventure that is great for the whole family.

Gothic was released in 1986 but might as well have been filmed in the ‘60s with its psychedelic-like filmmaking style which some might find a lot of fun, but I felt was more confusing and even tedious. The performances at least weren’t bad headlined by Natasha Richardson along with respectable production design.

Class of 1999 is cheesy as all hell but an incredibly fun 1980s film (albeit released in 1990) that features a great supporting cast including Malcolm McDowell, Stacy Keach and Pam Grier alongside the young actors who served well in the leads.

A Bad Moms Christmas was a bit of a chore to even sit through, not so much that none of the humor landed but one character that was absolutely obnoxious and really could’ve been the film’s antagonist than somebody I could actually care about.

Suburbicon probably had some good ideas at its core, mostly perhaps by the Coen Brothers, and one would think someone like George Clooney who has not only worked with them but no doubt has the highest reverence for the two might make for a good replacement, Instead we get a mishmash of ideas that never come together.
