Survive the Night Blu-ray Review

Survive the Night is merely one of those bland movies that’s just competent enough to not be bad yet have such an average script to be all that entertaining, even as a time-waster.

Airplane: Paramount Presents Blu-ray Review

Airplane remains one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen and has endured the test of time, though probably some jokes would not be looked favorably in today’s climate and a movie like this wouldn’t be allowed to be made today. Still, funny as hell.

Nathalie: Escape from Hell Blu-ray Review

Nathalie is a sleazy film for sure with horrible dubbing and a thin plot, yet still found it semi-tolerable with Patrizia Gori being easy on the eyes and at least Jacqueline Laurent was hilariously bad with her cackling.

Clueless: 25th Anniversary Edition Steelbook Blu-ray Review

Clueless is a timeless classic that even 25+ years later is still relevant today as it was then even when styles and lingo changes. The movie features some great performances especially from Silverstone.

Unintended: Special Edition Blu-ray Review

Unintended is a nice indie drama featuring a few fine performances, especially Elizabeth Lail who popped up on my radar screen with the show Yes. Even with no real build up to some incredible dramatic moment, I still found this to be engaging enough.

Thir13en Ghosts: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Review

Thir13en Ghosts isn’t a great supernatural horror-thriller though the titular ghosts at least had some interesting make-up effects, a few akin to something out of Hellraiser and the production design was rather good.

Selena: Warner Archive Collection Blu-ray Review

Selena is a well made biopic featuring two incredible performances from Jennifer Lopez and Edward James Olmos, both deserving of more award recognition than they received.

Legion of Super Heroes: The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

Legion of Super Heroes: The Complete Series is a show that only lasted two seasons from nearly 15 years ago, so I can be forgiven for not ever heard of it before. However, it’s a fun enough time for most ages though I’m not a big fan of the animation style.

The Jesus Rolls Blu-ray Review

The Jesus Rolls is the long-awaited spin-off of the popular side character from The Big Lebowski starring John Turturro who also co-scripted and directed, clearly a passion project.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (Arrow Video) Blu-ray Review

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is a fun, silly fantasy-comedy that any fan of the character will probably eat up, however myself, I never grew up watching her so I don’t have the same love for the character compared with most around my age.
