The Phantom of the Opera is an entertaining enough adaptation thanks to a heartfelt performance from Herbert Lom. The Blu-ray release from Shout Factory has a good selection of bonus features and high-quality video/audio transfers.

The High Note is a fine music-drama-comedy with some good performances from Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, but can’t say this is a terribly memorable film and unlikely will remember a month from now.
Blue Bloods: The Tenth Season, starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan and Will Estes, arrives on DVD August 18th through CBS Paramount and includes two featurettes and deleted scenes.
There is no doubt Tinto Brass is a fascinating character and filmmaker, mostly known for directing Caligula, and these two films, P.O. Box Tinto Brass and IsTintoBrass gives some insights into the man, the second one especially.
Comet Over Broadway is a fun little 1930s-era crime-drama that features fine performances, headlined by Kay Francis.
Taz-Mania: The Complete Third Season debuts on DVD through the Warner Archive Collection and is available on August 25.

The Sin of Nora Moran is a fine film that by today’s standards is really tame, though I can imagine back in the pre-code era, it probably played far differently. Even so, it’s a short film worth checking out.
The Specials has some aspects of a young James Gunn personality though the humor is a bit raw as is the plot, which was done better in 1999’s Mystery Men.

The Eleventh Commandment is perhaps the worst kind of bad movie, an all around boring one. I can’t think of one thing that really stands out, not the characters, kills, plot, villains, nothing.
James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction is a must-watch for any fan of cinema, science fiction or otherwise, and while you’re not going to really learn very much new information but do hear from some experts in the genre or involved with it over the years.
Robert the Bruce, although not a sequel, picks up where the events of Braveheart left off and stars Angus Mcfaden (who also co-scripted) and Jared Harris. The Blu-ray release comes with a commentary and a featurette.
Pride and Prejudice, starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier, comes to Blu-ray through the Warner Archive Collection coming with an excellent video and solid audio transfers, alongside a few bonus features.

Haven isn’t one of the top notch amongst the interconnected ensemble dramas and really doesn’t have a whole lot to say, though thankfully not as heavy-handed but I generally thought the performances were alright at least.
Pennyworth is the latest series based on characters from DC Comics, this time getting the suspense-filled drama about the background for the future Wayne butler, Alfred. The season arrived on Blu-ray June 23rd.

First Snow might not have the strongest writing but performances from both Guy Pearce and J.K. Simmons, albeit a small role, does make this a worthwhile watch.
