PLOT SYNOPSIS |
| In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (NICOLAS CAGE) gets sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord (BILL MOSELEY) whose adopted granddaughter (SOFIA BOUTELLA) has gone missing. He offers the prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct in five days; the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman – and his own path to redemption. |

RLJ Films releases Prisoners of the Ghostland onto Blu-ray where it’s presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. This is a wild movie with plenty of vibrant colors while black and gray levels are well balanced, showcasing the unique Japanese-inspired Western atmosphere. The disc includes a robust DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. Dialogue comes across the front channel with good clarity and there is some modest depth for the various action-centric and fighting sequences. |
