Accident Blu-ray Review

Accident was poorly conceived made worse thanks to stilted dialogue and some rather poor acting from the cast. The two leading ladies might be, ahem, nicely put together, and the director certainly gratuitously flaunts them but acting was not their strong suits.

Wolf Warrior 2 BD

Wolf Warrior 2, amazingly, is one of the highest grossing movies of all-time taking in $854 million in China, the second highest in any single market behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As for the movie itself, it’s entertaining enough for sure though nothing really separates it from others in the genre either.

Better Watch Out BD + Screen Caps

Better Watch Out might not be some Christmas horror classic but it is surprisingly well done featuring two great performances from Olivia DeJonge and Levi Miller who is absolutely mental.

Review: Legend of Bruce Lee – Volume One DVD

Legend of Bruce Lee: Volume One is a nicely produced series, which had a 50 episode run (oddly the back cover only mentions 30) in China in 2008, and here we only get the first 10 episodes so expect a couple more volumes at some point.

Review: Memories of the Sword BD + Screen Caps

Memories of the Sword is just your run-of-the-mill fantasy martial arts flick, the kind I’ve seen too many times. The lead actress isn’t bad but otherwise it’s a forgettable film. The Blu-ray released through Well Go USA offers good video and audio transfers, well adequate enough anyway, but falls far short in the bonus material department.

Review: Killers BD + Screen Caps

Killers is a well made foreign film with a good psychological underbelly to the blood, gore and torture pitting two characters against one another to the bitter end, it wouldn’t surprise me if someone in the States didn’t try to remake it in some fashion.
