Those Who Wish Me Dead Blu-ray Review

Those Who Wish Me Dead is the pinnacle serviceable suspense-thriller, something that could’ve come out in the 1990s. Angelina Jolie is great in the lead and even the young Finn Little thankfully wasn’t obnoxious.

Nobody’s Fool Blu-ray Review

Nobody’s Fool is yet another reminder of why Tyler Perry isn’t exactly a good filmmaker. Personally, outside of his Madea personality/schtick, he actually isn’t a half bad actor. This film in particular has some poorly written characters, even unlikeable ones, and has a few plots stuffed into one.

Acrimony Blu-ray Review + Screen Caps

Acrimony is hardly terrible but it’s also par for the course of a Tyler Perry film. The talents of the lovely Taraji P. Henson are utterly wasted as she doesn’t get to show anything other than hostility considering any nice moments of the character went to the younger version.

Gone Girl Blu-ray Review

The Single Mom’s Club Blu-ray Review

Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom’s Club is a typical entry for the writer/director with inconsistent writing, one-dimensional characters and melodrama suitable for a daytime soap opera. Still, I suppose fans of Perry will enjoy it, though for me, it’s not exactly going to stand out by year’s end.
