I honestly had a good time watching Security not so much that it’s “good” but it is solid entertainment and a throwback to the action-thriller from the 1980s with a simple plot and an even simpler villain. The movie also works thanks to Banderas who continues to show he can be a bad ass.
Apple of My Eye is a perfectly safe, and predictable, family-drama-comedy that seems more suitable to air on the Hallmark Channel. At its core, through its cheesiness, there is a nice message at least.

Anyway, avoid this as there’s nothing redeeming, not even in the “it’s so bad it’s good” kind of way either.
