Review: Maggie BD + Screen Caps

Conceptually Maggie actually isn’t a terrible idea and manages to distinguish itself with the plethora of zombie films that have permeated the cinema marketplace and only grew more popular with “The Walking Dead.” Still, for all the flaws with the screenplay and a WTF casting of Schwarzenegger, this might be worth a rental.

Haunter Blu-ray Review

Haunter is hardly perfect and definitely uneven with the first half bordering on brilliance and the second predictable yet still between the fanastic mood setting and the performance from Abigail Breslin, this is at the very least worth a rental or maybe purchase.

Ender’s Game Blu-ray Review

Ender’s Game is a perfectly entertaining yet safe sci-fi action/thriller. Asa Butterfield is splendid in his follow-up to his breakout role in Hugo. That said, the rest of the movie borders on mediocrity and only saved due to some impressive visual effects and a story that was compelling enough to keep one’s attention until the end.

Review: The Call BD + Screen Caps

The Call isn’t an unpredictable suspense-thriller but thanks to the performances by Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin, and some slick direction by Brad Anderson, it’s an entertaining and captivating thriller from beginning to end even if the finale felt out of place.
