Getting That Girl isn’t the greatest rom-com but the cast are all well cast, highlighted by Gia Mantegna, and work well with one another even if the script delves into high school cliché territory. The DVD release offers a solo BTS featurette and adequate if not average audio and video transfers.

THE MOVIE
Plot Outline: In the final days of her senior year, Mandy Meyers (GIA MANTEGNA) is forced to change high schools when her father’s business moves the family from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles.
Mandy sees her new high school as a chance to start fresh, have some fun, and try things she’s never done before. On her first day, McDermott High’s two prettiest yet cruelest seniors (ELIZABETH NICOLE, INBAR LAVI) befriend Mandy and attempt to show her the wild side of Southern California high school life.
Likewise, the entire male senior class has also taken notice of Mandy, and she’s soon being chased by both an apathetic, yet charismatic, stoner (ESCHER HOLLOWAY) and a star football player (DANIEL BOOKO).
