PLOT SYNOPSIS

Victor (JOHNNY DEPP) and Victoria’s (EMILY WATSON) families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he’s in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily (HELENA BONHAM CARTER), who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor must get back aboveground before Victoria marries the villainous Barkis Bittern (RICHARD E. GRANT).

VIDEO – 5/5

Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride arises onto 4K Ultra HD for the first time presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 2160p high-definition transfer. It’s really no surprise that this looks absolutely fantastic in 4K with the textures are incredibly well detailed while colors are on the more drab side as intended by the filmmakers.

AUDIO – 5/5

The disc comes with a Dolby Atmos track that does sound fantastic with the iconic music and score coming through every channel while dialogue levels were strong and also clear throughout.

OVERALL — 3¾/5

F1: The Movie might not break new ground in terms of the story but the action is well filmed and the performance by Brad Pitt reminds you just how charming he can be. Director Joseph Kosinski is on a hot streak with this and Top Gun: Maverick.
