VIDEO – 4¼/5, AUDIO – 4/5

Lionsgate enters The Colony onto Blu-ray and is presented with a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part the picture does look quite good even though this is fairly low budget sci-fi drama, detail is pretty fine throughout and colors are on the muted side with the barren landscape the movie mostly takes place on.

The disc includes a basic but still effective enough DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track providing for clear dialogue levels and some modest depth for the front and rear speakers, reserved for the score and any ambient and nature sounds.
