After a chance encounter with “The Master” (BONNIE AARONS), she discovers bite marks on her neck, a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than ever. VIDEO – 4½/5, AUDIO – 4½/5 |
RLJ Entertainment releases Jakob’s Wife onto Blu-ray presented with a 2.00 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part the picture here looks good, a little heavy in the noise perhaps but otherwise is sharp and well defined for both close-ups and the more distant shots. Colors are vibrant and well balanced while black levels appear stark without appearing crushed. The included DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is solid enough. Dialogue comes across with good clarity and there is some fine depth with the LFE channel kicking on for an extra boost, especially during the few scenes in the rain with ambient noises being conveyed through the front and rear channels. |
