Sunday in New York arrives on Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and has been given a new 1080p high-definition transfer. This is a splendid looking picture, detail is nice and sharp while colors have a great boldness to it without being oversaturated. Now, it’s not pristine with a few very minor specs from time to time, but more on the blink or miss it variety. The disc comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track and given this is a romantic-comedy, with a good amount of hijinks; this doesn’t require a whole lot in the audio department. Dialogue comes through well enough and there weren’t any noticeable pops, hisses or other flaws with this lossless track. |
