Creepshow: Season 1 is a fun anthology series and as someone who prefers the more episodic shows, this one I found pretty entertaining even if some segments weren’t always top-notch, though the season does boast a respectable cast.

THE SEASON |
Synopsis: It’s the most fun you’ll ever have being scared. From Showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) comes a new anthology horror series inspired by George A. Romero’s iconic 1982 classic film. A comic book comes to life in twelve chilling tales told across six episodes featuring stories. Haunted dollhouses, werewolves, mischievous creatures, villainous trick-or-treaters and the undead are just a few things you’ll see. |

VIDEO – 4.5/5 |
Creepshow is presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio as originally aired on AMC and given a nice 1080p high-definition transfer. Picture here looks solid, with the comedic undertones in some of the stories, there is some good coloring going on and detail is sharp and well defined through the six episodes. |
AUDIO – 4.25/5 |
Each episode is given a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which showcases some of the horror elements quite nicely, dialogue comes through with good clarity and there is some okay depth during certain scenes, though nothing extraordinary. |
OVERALL – 3.5/5 |
Creepshow: Season 1 is a fun anthology series and as someone who prefers the more episodic shows, this one I found pretty entertaining even if some segments weren’t always top-notch, though the season does boast a respectable cast. The Blu-ray includes a plethora of bonus material including commentaries on every episode while the video and audio transfers were both well done. |
