The 100 isn’t normally my kind of show as generally I don’t have much interest in these ever-growing post-apocalyptic shows (which I included The Walking Dead), but I did find this one to be semi-entertaining.

As two armies converge on one valley, alliances shift, friends become foes and the march to war threatens to destroy the remnants of the human race. Can our heroes break the cycle? This release comes via Warner’s Archive Collection and the 3-discs are housed in a standard Blu-ray case. Features are limited with only The 100: Redemption and Rebirth (10:23) behind-the-scenes featurette, The 100: 2018 WonderCon Panel (26:23) footage with the cast and crew basically promoting this fifth season and lastly a Gag Reel (4:36).

VIDEO – 4.5/5, AUDIO – 4.25/5

The fifth season of The 100 is presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio as originally televised, the 1080p high-definition transfer looks rather good and even though it is in a post-apocalyptic setting, so colors are more on the natural side of the spectrum, there is some good pops of color here and there, while black levels were fairly stark.

Each episode comes with a standard but rather effective DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. Dialogue comes through the center channel with nice surrounds for the ambient noises along with the generic score.

OVERALL – 3.5/5

The 100 isn’t normally my kind of show as generally I don’t have much interest in these ever-growing post-apocalyptic shows (which I included The Walking Dead), but I did find this one to be semi-entertaining, all things considered. This Blu-ray released through the Warner Archive Collection has good video and audio transfers, though the features are on the limited side.
