While I don’t really have a problem with CBS and their reboot of Hawaii Five-0 but MacGyver is one that really doesn’t work both in terms of its style and the performances, most notable Lucas Till who just doesn’t look quite right in the role.

MacGyver (LUCAS TILL) is back as he attempts to hunt down his nemesis, Murdoc (DAVID DASTMALCHIAN) tries to solve the mystery of his father’s disappearance. VIDEO – 3.75/5, AUDIO – 4.0/5
|
MacGyver scrounges around the junk pile and assembles the DVD presented in its originally televised 1.78 anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio. Although there is some artifacting in a few scenes, still doesn’t look half bad with good colors.
The episodes come with standard but effective Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks with crisp and clear dialogue levels and some okay depth during the action-centric scenes. |
OVERALL – 2.5/5 |
While I don’t really have a problem with CBS and their reboot of Hawaii Five-0 but MacGyver is one that really doesn’t work both in terms of its style and the performances, most notable Lucas Till who just doesn’t look quite right in the role. The DVD release has fine video and audio transfers and an okay selection of bonus features. |
