Review: The Levenger Tapes DVD

The Levenger Tapes blends traditional filmmaking with the overused found footage style but beyond that, I never found this very compelling though the acting from a mostly unknown cast to be half decent (at times).

PLOT SYNOPSIS

This horror tale follows three college students on an ill-fated weekend getaway. After finding what seems to be evidence of murder, the kids disappear, leaving behind a video camera. Thinking the missing students’ footage may help solve the kidnapping of a teenage girl, the police uncover even greater terror.

OVERALL – 2.0/5

Overall, The Levenger Tapes blends traditional filmmaking with the overused found footage style but beyond that, I never found this very compelling though the acting from a mostly unknown cast to be half decent (at times). The DVD released through Lionsgate, however, is very basic with good video and audio transfers but no bonus material.
