The inspirational true story of Jesse Brown (JONATHAN MAJORS), the first Black aviator in U.S. Navy history, and his enduring friendship with fellow fighter pilot Tom Hudner (GLEN POWELL). Helping to turn the tide in the most brutal battle in the Korean War, their heroic sacrifices ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.

This release comes with a semi-glossy slip cover and included is a redemption code for the Digital HD copy. As with most recent releases from Paramount, there is only a 4K disc.

There are only two featurettes: The Aviation of a Forgotten War (11:17) which delves into the Korean War and The Legacy of Jesse Brown (12:03), a profile on the African-American aviator.

VIDEO – 4½/5, AUDIO – 5/5

Devotion comes to 4K Ultra HD from Paramount and is presented in its original 2.20 widescreen aspect ratio and 2160p high-definition transfer. The picture itself looks quite good, detail was sharp and well defined with colors being in line with the 1950s era the movie takes place in.

The disc includes a great sounding DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which offers up robust sounds with the roaring WWII planes along with the clear dialogue coming via the center channel. Not sure it’s quite reference quality work or anything but still excellent nevertheless.
