Kansas Red (DREW WATERS) rescues young Billy (SAM ASHBY) from a card-game shootout. The boy asks Red for help protecting his family from outlaw Thorn (TRACE ADKINS), who has just kidnapped Billy’s mother, Carol (VICTORIA PRATT). As Red and Billy ride off to rescue Carol, they run into beautiful, tough-as-nails Leslie (VANESSA EVIGAN), who’s managed to escape Thorn’s men. They race to stop Thorn’s wedding to Carol, with guns-a-blazing – but does she want to be rescued?

This release comes with a glossy, title-embossed, slip cover and inside a redemption code for the Digital HD copy. The only feature is the Trailer (1:52).

VIDEO – 3¾/5, AUDIO – 3½/5

Desperate Riders gallops onto Blu-ray presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition. Like the clothing in this old western-drama, the picture here is equally clean. Detail is sharp and well defined and colors aren’t especially bright but are in keeping with the natural locales.

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is decent if not also un-extraordinary, though dialogue comes across well enough and there is some okay depth when it came to the gunplay or horse-riding through the fields and woods.
