The musical tale of Annie Oakley (BETTY HUTTON) moves from stage to screen in this rollicking film adaptation. Renowned in the Wild West as a sharpshooter, Annie meets her match, both romantically and professionally, in the form of fellow ace gunslinger Frank Butler (HOWARD KEEL). While Annie and Frank are performing as part of the famous traveling show headlined by the legendary Buffalo Bill (LOUIS CALHERN), the two compete and flirt, with plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Pretty good amount of bonus material ported over from a previous DVD release. Included is an Introduction (4:40) by Susan Lucci; four Outtake Musical Numbers: “Doin’ What Comes Natur’lly”, “I;m an Indian Too”, “Colonel Buffalo Bill” and “Let’s Go West Again”; Audio-Only Outtakes: “Colonel Buffalo Bill”, “Let’s Go West Again”, “There’s no Business Like Show Business”; and last the Theatrical Trailer (2:41).

Warner Bros. releases Annie Get Your Gun onto Blu-ray where it received a new 1080p high-definition transfer and is presented in its original 1.37 full frame aspect ratio. The picture looks magnificent through and through, detail is sharp and colors are wonderfully vibrant in keeping with the boisterous musical numbers.

The disc comes with a robust DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track that really spits out the musical numbers with great depth, even through a singular channel while dialogue comes across with good clarity and nary any pops or hissing permeating from this lossless track.
