Blue Bloods isn’t a show I routinely watch but when I do, it often features strong enough stories but carried through with sharp writing and characters you genuinely care about and actors giving it their all.

SEASON SYNOPSIS

The Reagan family follows every lead to the end in the eighth thrilling season of Blue Bloods, starring Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg. The heat is on as Frank (TOM SELLECK) clashes with the new mayor of New York City and defends the NYPD from a series of public scandals. Oldest son Danny (DONNIE WAHLBERG) is forced to cut a deal with his imprisoned archenemy while his brother Jamie (WILL ESTES) works to protect the city’s defenseless victims. At the same time, their D.A. sister Erin (BRIDGET MOYNAHAN) reopens a number of old cases and faces off with her ex-husband.

OVERALL – 3.25/5

Overall, Blue Bloods isn’t a show I routinely watch but when I do, it often features strong enough stories but carried through with sharp writing and characters you genuinely care about and actors giving it their all. The DVD release has some okay special features while the video and audio transfers are satisfactory.
