Crash isn’t a movie I found all that great though my interest was mainly for some of the controversy and honestly as strange as the “plot” and characters were, it’s not that out of bounds at least nowadays.
Shivers was a surprisingly entertaining parasite horror movie that is more or less akin to a zombie flick and works really well especially for being a low budget film. It also shows just the greatness of 1970s cinema.
The Dead Zone doesn’t quite enter into classic territory for me, but I did generally find it entertaining thanks to a charismatic enough performance from Christopher Walken who actually plays the lead fairly straight.
One of David Cronenberg’s earlier works, Rabid is a solid zombie-horror movie that certainly has its flaws but regardless was entertaining until the very end and the performance by Marilyn Chambers, an ex-porn star, actually wasn’t half bad for the material.
