2 Days in the Valley isn’t a great interconnected ensemble drama but certainly watchable and at the very least you get to see Charlize Theron in a very early role in her career.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels might not rank high amongst my favorite 1980s comedies, but this is still a funny film even when you know the ending. The dynamic between Steve Martin and Michael Caine was great.
The Circle had plenty of potential but it’s for naught with not-so-subtle lines of dialogue combined with an uneven/unfocused story, with unintentionally funny scenes, that never worked and probably would’ve been better served as dark satire.
Dick Tracy is hardly a perfect movie but star/director Warren Beatty does a tremendous job translating the source material into the feature film format. Between the art direction, production and costume designs, the visuals on the movie are fantastic and Beatty as Tracy was perfect.
