Village of the Giants is sort of your typical fantasy-comedy from the 1960s and easy to see why it was mocked on Mystery Science Theater 3000, but without them, watching on its own is kind of a chore as for the most part it’s fairly dull.

The Mountain Between Us BD + Screen Caps

The Mountain Between Us isn’t quite a huge misfire but it’s a tale of two movies, one about survival and another about romance and it’s doesn’t quite mesh. However, as a fan of both Kate Winslet and Idris Elba, the film at least was watchable if not forgettable.

Review: The Fabulous Baker Boys BD + Screen Caps

The Fabulous Baker Boys is one of the more forgotten classics from writer/director Steve Kloves (mainly known as a writer now) that finally gets some recognition courtesy of Twilight Time’s release on Blu-ray. As for the release, the audio and video transfers are both well done and there’s a decent selection of bonus material toplined by a new commentary with Kloves.

Columbus Circle Blu-ray Review

It’s a shame Columbus Circle wasn’t better as it has a good cast and, at its core, at least an interesting premise. Although the script does them no favors, I give a pass to the cast as they seem to struggle through stilted dialogue and contrived situations, especially a finale that flies in the face of what we watched before.
