The Tigger Movie is a fun family movie which, as innocent and kid-friendly of a story as it is, will also entertain the adults in the room as well. It’s a classic story with fun characters that has stood the test of time.

THE MOVIE

As it happens, everybody — Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Roo, Rabbit, Owl — is busy preparing a suitable winter home for Eeyore. When everything they do seems to get undone by Tigger’s exuberant bouncing, Rabbit suggests Tigger go outside and find other tiggers to bounce with — a notion Tigger finds ridiculous because, after all, he’s “the onliest one!” Or is he? And so begins Tigger’s amazing journey to find his family.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 2.0/5

The Blu-ray release comes in a glossy, reflective slip cover.

A Tigger Tale (6:22; HD) is a short featurette on the history of the character and making the movie. I only wish this was longer because what the filmmakers had to say was fascinating.

Mini Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (24:21; HD) is a collection of 10 short features about Winnie the Pooh and company.

“Round My Family Tree” Sing-Along Song (2:45; HD)

Music Video (4:49; SD) for Kenny Loggins “Your Heart Will Lead You Home”

DVD Copy is also included.

VIDEO – 4.25/5

The Tigger Movie bounces onto Blu-ray with a fine looking 1080p, high-definition transfer. The film is presented in its original 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and as expected, it’s clean and free of any flaws. The balance of colors is also nice and showed no signs of banding.

AUDIO – 4.0/5

The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track isn’t astounding or anything but it gets the job done. The dialogue levels are loud and the lossless track especially comes to life during the musical moments.

OVERALL – 3.5/5

Overall, The Tigger Movie is a fun family movie which, as innocent and kid-friendly of a story as it is, will also entertain the adults in the room as well. It’s a classic story with fun characters that has stood the test of time. The Blu-ray offers up solid video/audio transfers but unfortunately falters a bit in the features department.
