Kino Lorber releases The Bloody Beast Terror onto Blu-ray for the second time after previously being released in 2012 and as such, this is the same transfer, which had received a 2K restoration. The 1080p high-definition presentation, shown in the original 1.66 widescreen aspect ratio, looks fairly good overall. Detail is sharp particularly on the close-ups and colors appear to be nicely balanced with skin tones having a natural appearance and the blood red coming across with some modest vibrancy. The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track which provides strong dialogue levels with no apparent signs of pops, hisses or any other flaws that sometimes can permeate these older films. In any case, it’s a solid lossless track. |
