Roy Rogers was way before my time and as someone who never was interested in westerns, I never sought out his movies but this Happy Trails Collection is a fun set even if the product itself including the audio and video transfers were on the poorer side.

ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans take you on a trip down memory lane, as they host an exclusive collection of the best Roy Rogers movies, authorized by the Roy Rogers Estate. Each movie is introduced by Roy and Dale in a special feature, Happy Trails Theater, where they are joined by a host of your favorite western stars, including Gene Autry, Iron Eyes Cody, Pat Brady, Ruth Terry, Roy Rogers Jr. and Pat Burtram amongst others.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 2.5/5

The four discs are contained in a standard DVD case, stacked on one another. There is also a code for a Digital Copy availably only on Mill Creek’s website. At least this comes with a few bonus features including a Biography of Roy Rogers, a Tour of the Roy Rogers Museum and the “Sidekicks” Special.

OVERALL – 2.25/5

Overall, Roy Rogers was way before my time and as someone who never was interested in westerns, I never sought out his movies but this Happy Trails Collection is a fun set even if the product itself including the audio and video transfers were on the poorer side though nice to have some bonus features.
