This Jackass: Complete Movie and TV Collection is just a re-packaging job done by the studio and as such, if you’re already own them you’re really only getting a more compact set. If you don’t have them, it is at a reasonable price and worthy of picking up.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

Johnny Knoxville was at the forefront of idiots filming themselves doing dumbass, or jackass, things and putting it on video for the world to laugh at. No joke, it was entertainment at its finest. The television series lasted only three seasons before Knoxville brought his, and friends, shenanigans to the big screen with Jackass: The Movie followed by three sequels, the last being Bad Grandpa, plus some outtake direct-to-video features.
The Jackass “franchise” is what it is. It’s not high-brow in the least and the humor is juvenile but tapping into my teenage self from the 1990s, I couldn’t help but to laugh my a** off. |

Each movie and the television series are shown in their original aspect ratio and for the most part, look fine. The series as you might imagine are more amateurish in style while the movies do look better by comparison. The movies include standard Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks while the series are Dolby Digital Stereo. Nothing noteworthy and you’re not going to get a whole lot of depth from the films given the subject. |
