The Hospital is a dark comedy that works mostly for George C. Scott though the story itself isn’t only mildly amusing. The Blu-ray has okay video/audio transfers but lacks many features.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0.5/5 |
This comes with an 8-page booklet. The only feature is the Theatrical Trailer. |
VIDEO – 4.25/5, AUDIO – 3.75/5 |
Blue Denim comes to Blu-ray courtesy of Twilight Time’s Limited Edition Series, presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a fine looking 1080p high-definition transfer which does show off sharp detail and deep blacks and stark whites. The included DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track outputs clean dialogue. |
OVERALL – 2.5/5 |
Overall, Blue Denim is an interesting film in that, and perhaps it was due to the times, was a bit unintentional humorous at times intermixed with some very serious issues, namely an unwanted pregnancy. Still, it’s probably worth a watch as there are a couple decent performances. Meanwhile, the Twilight Time release has good video and audio transfers but limited features. |
