Can’t say Walking Out is a masterpiece of a survival-adventure film but it does features two solid performances from Matt Bomer and Josh Wiggins and some beautiful Montana cinematography.

PLOT SYNOPSIS |
Once a year, fourteen-year-old David (JOSH WIGGINS) travels from his mother’s home in Texas to visit his loner father, Cal (MATT BOMER), in the remote mountains of Montana. There, the two embark on their annual hunting excursion, during which the reserved Cal attempts to connect with his smartphone-addicted son. But when a terrifying turn of events leaves Cal critically wounded, it’s up to the teenage David to summon enough strength for both of them. |

Shout Factory releases Walking Out onto Blu-ray presented with a 2.40 widescreen aspect ratio and a fine-looking 1080p high-definition transfer which showcases the crisp whites of the snow-covered landscape while detail was adequate but sharp enough. The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track provides for crisp and clean dialogue levels and some okay depth for the surrounds with the sounds of nature. |
