PLOT SYNOPSIS

What would happen if someone could get tomorrow’s newspaper headlines today? This period comedy tells the story of a reporter (DICK POWELL) who wishes he could scoop his colleagues by knowing about events before they occur. When a mysterious old man gives him the news a day in advance, his life is turned upside down. Racing to prevent a headline predicting his own death, he gets mixed up with a beautiful fortune teller (LINDA DARNELL) and her overprotective uncle (JACK OAKIE).

Kino Lorber releases It Happened Tomorrow onto Blu-ray, presented in the original 1.33 full frame aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer, restored from a 4K scan. The black and white picture looks absolutely glorious, detail is sharp with the natural film grain has been retained, and appears clean, free of dust, scratches or other blemishes.

The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track showcasing clear dialogue and some decent depth for a single channel lossless track. For the most part is a nice track, no apparent pops or hissing, pretty respectable for a movie closing in on 80 years.
