PLOT SYNOPSIS

Miranda Wells (KATIE HOLMES) is a hardworking young widow who’s struggling to raise three children on her own. A powerful storm soon brings a devastating challenge and a mysterious man, Bray Johnson (JOSH LUCAS), into her life. In just a few short days, Bray’s presence reignites the family’s spirit – but he carries a secret that could change everything.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 1½/5

This release comes with a matted slip cover, inside is the redemption code for the Digital HD copy. The only bonus is The Secret On Set (4:34) short featurette.

VIDEO – 4½/5

The Secret: Dare to Dream comes to Blu-ray presented with a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture here looks quite lovely, detail is sharp throughout and colors are fairly bright and vibrant even with the oncoming hurricane set in the background of the story.

AUDIO – 4/5

The movie comes with a standard but serviceable DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Outside of the storm, which only takes up a few minutes of the film, there’s not a whole lot here to judge as it is a romantic drama, so plenty of dialogue or music/soundtrack. The bulk does come from the center channel with some ambient noises making up the rear speakers.
