PLOT SYNOPSIS

Teen tomboy Daisy Clover (NATALIE WOOD) dreams of fame — and gets her wish when big-time movie producer Raymond Swan (CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER) comes calling. But, as her image is remolded for the media and her family life is thrown into turmoil, Daisy discovers that being a star in 1930s Hollywood isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Alone and distrustful, the young actress searches for a happy ending with a fellow rising star, Wade Lewis (ROBERT REDFORD).

VIDEO – 4.5/5, AUDIO – 4.5/5

Inside Daisy Clover onto Blu-ray where it has been given a new 1080p high-definition transfer, presented with, as measured, 2.34 widescreen aspect ratio. The picture here looks great, detail is well defined throughout, colors appear natural and in keeping with its age and time period, and the natural film grain and noise is still there, giving as close to a visual theatrical experience as possible.

The disc includes a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track which also sounds good. Dialogue comes through with good clarity through the central channel. No amazing depth but there is plenty to take away with the music and even an explosion at the end.
