Cupid is a fun enough concept I guess but the execution didn’t meet the potential and doesn’t help that the acting was rather bad on just about everybody’s part, not to mention that killer cupid was pretty hilarious more so than menacing.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

After being horrendously embarrassed by the mean girls at school, Faye (GEORGINA JANE), a practicing witch, summons the evil Cupid to take revenge on all those within the school grounds. However, all turns very real on Valentine’s when Cupid (BAO TIEU) does in fact rise, and he will stop at nothing until the walls are covered in blood. The students must figure out a way to stop Cupid and undo the spell before their hearts get broken… very literally.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

Other than previews for other Uncork’d Entertainment movies, no features were included.

VIDEO – 3.5/5, AUDIO – 3.25/5

The movie is presented with a 16×9 enhanced 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and looks satisfying enough and there is a 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby Digital tracks available, the latter for some reason being default. Dialogue was decent enough though the depth is limited.

OVERALL – 2.0/5

Cupid is a fun enough concept I guess but the execution didn’t meet the potential and doesn’t help that the acting was rather bad on just about everybody’s part, not to mention that killer cupid was pretty hilarious more so than menacing.
