SPECIAL FEATURES – 0.5/5 |
This comes with an 8-page booklet. The only feature is the Original Theatrical Trailer. |
VIDEO – 4.0/5, AUDIO – 3.75/5 |
Twilight Time releases Anne of the Thousand Days onto Blu-ray with a 1080p high-definition transfer and presented in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio as, likely, provided by Universal Pictures. The picture here actually looks pretty good, detail is relatively sharp and well defined throughout and colors are generally vibrant without being artificially bolstered and probably in keeping how it was originally released back in the late 60s. The movie comes with a standard but efficient DTS-HD MA 2.0 track which showcases clear dialogue and some ambient noises of the villagers. |
OVERALL – 3.25/5 |
Overall, Anne of the Thousand Days is a well acted and richly photographed drama excelling with the performances from Richard Burton portraying Henry VIII and Genevieve Bujold as the mistress Anne Boleyn. This Blu-ray release from Twilight Time includes good video/audio transfers but only a trailer in the features department. |
