SEASON SYNOPSIS

Season Six of Longmire finds Sheriff Walt Longmire (ROBERT TAYLOR), deputies Vic Moretti (KATEE SACKHOFF) and The Ferg (ADAM BARTLEY), best friend Henry Standing Bear (LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS) and daughter Cady (CASSIDY FREEMAN) facing personal and professional crises. Walt’s job and home are under threat from a powerful, unscrupulous lawyer. Vic must decide what to do about her secret pregnancy. The Ferg struggles to balance a new relationship with his commitment to duty. Henry is a target, and Cady’s loyalty is torn. With their world in turmoil, Walt and everyone he cares about must make the most difficult decision of their lives. Is it time to pack it in? Or is it time to fight? The final 10 episodes of the suspenseful, action-packed series build to a dramatic finish under the wide-open, wild skies of Absaroka County.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This 4-disc set comes housed in an HD keep case. No features were included.

VIDEO – 4.25/5

Longmire is presented in its originally televised (well, stream since this season went to Netflix) 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and given a nice looking 1080p high-definition transfer. Being this is a modern day western, colors are more drab moving more toward the natural spectrum with browns and such in the color palette, though there are some splash of color.

AUDIO – 4.0/5

Each episode comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which came across adequately with the bulk of the audio relegated through the center channel with some okay depth via the front and rear channels. Dialogue levels are crisp and clean and when there is some action, it does output quite nicely on the other available speakers.

OVERALL – 3.0/5

Overall, Longmire was a nice western-drama featuring some fine performances, most notably stars Robert Taylor and Katee Sackoff, both consistently delivering quality work throughout the series’ six seasons, and this final one does have some compelling stories. This Blu-ray release came through Warner’s Archive Collection, unfortunately there are no features however the video and audio transfers are both pretty good.
