SPECIAL FEATURES – 0.5/5 |
The only feature is the Trailer (1:23; HD). |
VIDEO – 4.0/5 |
Sky on Fire comes to Blu-ray through Well Go USA Entertainment and is presented with a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. This has the distinct look and feel of a digitally shot movie with a crispness with nary a grain that I could see; but even so, detail is sharp and colors are generally bright. |
AUDIO – 3.0/5 |
The disc includes Mandarin language DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which I found rather lackluster even during the action scenes while the more dramatic, dialogue-rich, ones, mostly comes through the center channel with minimal usage of the rear speakers for some ambient noises. Not bad, however for this much action, could’ve been a lot better. |
OVERALL – 2.5/5 |
Overall, Sky on Fire had potential but the execution I felt was on the sloppy side though Daniel Wu did well in a lead role and some of the action scenes were shot pretty well while the visual effects were mostly laughable. This Well Go USA Blu-ray offers good video, so-so audio and only a trailer as the solo feature. |
